2018 Cowes Week X-Yachts Success
With idyllic sailing conditions at this years “Lendy Cowes Week“, a number of X-Yachts enjoyed fine racing.
In class “Cruiser Division A” a fierce battle developed at the front of the pack, leading to some excellent racing. Anthony & Charles Esse’s “Baby X” worked hard to dominate the class after day 1 racing in very light airs. However, despite owning their X4³ for only 2 months, they went on to win the class overall! The rest of Cruiser Division A’s 22 yachts competed in various conditions throughout the week. Other notable X-Yacht successes in this class went to Clive Buesnel’s X-50 “Exhilerance”, finishing in fourth place overall and Gary & Sasha Fry, sailing as a family aboard their new Xp 44 “Minx” finishing fifth overall.
