2018 Fitting Out Dinner & AGM – Sat 24 March

Published by xyoaadmin on

We are delighted to announce that a very special venue has been chosen for our Fitting Out Dinner and AGM - Brooklands Museum - the birthplace of British Motorsport and Aviation and the home of Concorde.

The Museum is full of charm and character with a vast array of colourful and remarkable historic motoring and aviation exhibits.  The motoring display include cars, motor and pedal bikes, as well as racing car simulators.

Members and their guests will initially meet in the stunning Members' Lounge which is elegantly decorated in a 1920's art deco style.

After refreshments there will be an opportunity to take the Concorde Experience and see inside one of the world's most famous aircraft.  Having learnt about the history of Concorde, members and their guests will take a seat to enjoy the virtual flight in this supersonic icon. There is a limit to the number of seats on Concorde, so those booking early will take precedence.

One of our members, the youngest ever Concorde pilot, Noj White, will host a presentation of sensational photographic shots taken from the cockpit.  Those of you who heard Noj speak at the XYOA dinner at the Naval Club, will not wish to miss more anecdotes about flying Concorde, as well as the opportunity to see his stunning photographs.

Complimentary pre-dinner drinks will be served in the Members' Lounge, and after a suitable break, the AGM will be held in the Bluebird Room.  A three-course dinner with complimentary wines will be served in the same historic room that was used by Sir Donald Campbell to create the plans for his world famous Bluebird racing car.
