Delivery Opportunities
We have recently been approached by X-Yachts (GB) Ltd to see whether there is any interest in members being given the opportunity to be involved in deliveries of X-Yachts. In some cases this may be the delivery of a member's boat from one location to another, or it could even be the participation in the delivery of a new boat from the factory in Denmark. Although it would not be possible to be paid for the task, in many cases, expenses would be covered.
We, the officers of the Association, think that this could be a good opportunity for members to help to get to know others and also get the chance to sail on different models of our boats. It would also probably give members a chance to sail in a different sea area as part of the delivery.
To this end, we are going to set up a database of interested members. If you are one of these, please let me know and I will add you to the list. When the opportunity comes, we would advertise the trip and establish who is available. If it is a crewing position, then we would put you in touch with the skipper. If a skipper is required, we would leave it to you to make up your crew.
